Applications must be received by 2:00pm on Friday 19 December 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.

Applications will not be assessed unless they are complete and all requested information has been provided.

The Built Heritage Grants Scheme is competitive with a total funding pool of $1.3 million available for allocation across the two programs. Applications will be assessed on merit and, depending on the number of eligible applications received, it may not be possible to support all eligible applications.

Please note this application form has conditional sections, and some sections may not be relevant to you. The sections that are not relevant to you will not appear as you work through the online form, however they will appear if you preview or download a PDF version of the form.

By completing this section you are confirming that you meet the eligibility requirements of the Grants Scheme as outlined in the Grants Scheme Guidelines.

  • The grant funds I am requesting will be used towards works to preserve, repair, restore or reconstruct historically built fabric of a place that is permanently registered on the Tasmanian Heritage Register.
  • I have proof of authority to undertake the proposed works: 
    • as the legal custodian of the property; OR
    • I am a manger or lessee of the property and have the written support of the owners of the site                                                                                                                                                                             AND
    • I have the written support of all owners or the owners' corporation (applicable only if the site has multiple owners).
  • I am not submitting this application on behalf of a Local, State or Commonwealth government, or an entity of a Local, State or Commonwealth government.
  • I am not seeking grant funds for expenditure that has already been incurred.
  • I do not have an outstanding acquittal for funds received through Round 1 or 2 of the Built Heritage Grants Scheme.
  • I have not received grant funds through Rounds 1 and 2 for the same registered place.
  • I do not have an unresolved works or registrations dispute with the Tasmanian Heritage Council.

    Evidence of your authority to undertake the works outlined in your application may include: a copy of the Property Title, a Property Information Report prepared by the Office of the Valuer-General, a Statutory Declaration from the owner/s of the site signed and dated by all interested parties. If you provide a Property Title or Property Information Report that shows another party listed as the owner you will need to provide further evidence that you have authority to submit the application and undertake the proposed works. If you are providing written support of the owner, manager or lessess, it must be certified by a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations.
