Introduction

Thank you for your interest in Round 2 of the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board's High Priority Infrastructure (HPI) Grants Program!

 

By submitting an application you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree with the following:

 

  • You have read and understood the HPI Grants Round 2 Guidelines document and used it as a reference when completing your application.
  • Care must be taken to correctly and truthfully answer all questions, and failure to do so may invalidate your application. 
  • Applications will be competitively compared and assessed on a ranking basis, and there is no guarantee your application will result in a funding offer.
  • You may be asked to provide evidence or additional information to support or clarify your application.

 

This application form may prevent you from completing or submitting an application if your answers to eligibility questions determine you or your project are ineligible.

Applicant Eligibility

Question 1 determines whether you, as an organisation, are eligible to apply for HPI Grants Round 2 based on the scale and nature of your current operations. The eligibility of your project will be determined separately.

The project itself is free to be of any scale (whether greater or less than 1000 tonnes per year) and does not necessarily have to involve any existing facilities or operations.

 

1. Do you currently operate a landfill and/or resource recovery facility in Tasmania that receives more than 1000 tonnes of materials per year? * Required
Must be a whole number (no decimal place) and at least 1000.

Must be no more than 100 words.

5. If requested, are you willing and able to provide evidence of operating in accordance with relevant permits/licences and/or legislation? * Required
6. Are you willing to disclose any convictions or fines received in the past five (5) years under the Waste and Resource Recovery Act 2022, Criminal Code Act 1924, Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 or Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993? * Required
7. Are you able to provide evidence, if requested, of appropriate Work Cover and public liability insurance for the proposed project? * Required
8. Are you willing to provide a signed Financial Declaration Form with your application? * Required

9. Are you willing and able to make a minimum 25% cash and/or in-kind contribution towards the total project cost? * Required
Note: Your contribution can cover costs that are considered ineligible for grant funding, as outlined in the Guidelines document
10. If requested, are you able to provide written consent from the owner of the land on which your project will be undertaken (e.g., landlord consent)? * Required

3. Will your project achieve a tangible improvement in the avoidance, reduction, reuse, repair, recycling, or recovery of one or more priority materials? * Required
4. Will your project be geographically located in Tasmania? * Required
